Description
The Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering is engineering solutions for humanity’s biggest challenges through our integrative programs in materials for sustainability, immunoengineering, and quantum engineering. From particles to pluripotent plastics, from molecules to mammals, from qubits to quantum computers—you know how much PME has to love, from the smallest scale on up.
Donations are applied to...
With a donation to the Matt Tirrell Fellowship Fund, you not only celebrate the heart of PME—our students—but also cement the legacy of Professor Matt Tirrell. During his 12-year tenure as dean, Professor Tirrell transformed the Institute for Molecular Engineering into the powerhouse school we know and love today. Your gift will directly support the first cohort of Matt Tirrell Fellows, graduate students pursuing the science and engineering of tomorrow.
We know how much PME has done in only 12 years since launch. Now let’s see how much we can do in the 24 short hours of Giving Day.
Why are donations necessary?
Our graduate student population has more than tripled since 2016, and we don’t expect our growth to stop any time soon. Why would it, with PME research making waves in the computing industry, at clinical bedsides, even in outer space? Thanks to your gift, we’ll remain a leader in training the next generation of scientists and engineers, even as we build one of the most unique, innovative alumni networks in UChicago history.
During Giving Day, your gift makes even more of an impact. Chair of the PME Advisory Council Wayne Delker, SB’76, and his wife Lynne Delker, AB’76, will match any gifts to the Tirrell Fellowship up to $25,000. Join Wayne and Lynn in championing the Matt Tirrell Fellowship Fund!
